The Rotary Youth Leadership Academy is District 9127's premier training initiative for future leaders. For seven immersive days, young people from across Nigeria's 16 states and the FCT come together to learn, grow, and transform.
This isn't a lecture series. It's a residential camp experience designed around action: team challenges in the field, service projects in real communities, mentorship circles with accomplished Rotarians, and entrepreneurial workshops that build practical skills.

Who RYLA is for
RYLA welcomes participants aged 15 to 30 who demonstrate leadership potential, community involvement, and a willingness to grow. This cohort brings together senior secondary students, undergraduates, NYSC members, and early-career professionals.

RYLA 2026 was held from 9 to 15 August at the British Nigeria Academy, Abuja. Over 600 young people were trained across leadership, digital innovation and artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, financial intelligence and a full range of vocational skills — the largest youth leadership academy in the history of District 9127.
